Applies to all VHEDIA head unit models

If your VHEDIA head unit is not turning on, follow these steps to identify and resolve the issue.

1. Check for Signs of Power

  • Look for side lights or listen for any sound from the unit.
If there are lights or sound, the issue may be with the screen rather than the entire unit.
2. Inspect the Car’s Fuses

  • Locate the fuse box in your vehicle and check the fuse labelled for the radio or a similar function. Typically, the fuse box containing the radio fuse is found inside the vehicle, either beneath the steering wheel or behind the passenger glove box.
  • Note that fuses may be labelled differently depending on the vehicle model, so inspect all relevant fuses.
  • Some cars have multiple fuse boxes (up to three), so ensure all are checked.
  • Replace any blown fuses with ones of the correct rating.
3. Check the Fuse on the Head Unit

  • Remove the head unit and inspect the fuse located at the back of the device.
  • Replace the fuse if it is blown.
(Refer to the image below for the location of the fuse.)

4. Check for bent or pushed-out pins

  • Inspect the pins closely to see if any are bent out of shape.
  • Ensure all pins are straight and properly aligned with one another.
5. Reconnect the Main Harness Plugs

  • Unplug all the main harness connectors from the head unit.
  • Reconnect the plugs securely to ensure a proper connection.

If the Issue Persists

If the head unit still does not turn on after performing these checks, the device may require replacement. Please contact VHEDIA support for further assistance or to arrange for a replacement unit.
