M-Series: Reverse Camera Not Triggering

If your reverse camera is not activating when you shift into reverse, and the wiring is correctly set up, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

1. Access Settings
  • Navigate to the main menu of your M-series head unit. Select Settings.
2. Go to Car Infotainment
  • Within Settings, scroll down and select Car Infotainment.
3. Enter About Device
  • In the Car Infotainment menu, select About Device.
4. Click the gear iconYou will be prompted to enter a passcode. Type 8878 and hit OK.
5. Select Back Car Setup
  • Once the passcode is accepted, you will see additional settings. Select Back Car Setup.

6. Enable the "Camera Detect" Option.

  • Ensure the Detect option is checked.
7. Save Your Settings
  • Once you have selected your preferred setting, tap Save to save the changes and reboot the head unit.
Additional Notes:
  • Ensure all wiring connections are secure and correctly installed before performing the above steps.
  • If the reverse camera still does not trigger, check if your vehicle’s reverse signal wire is properly connected.
  • Contact VHEDIA support for further troubleshooting if the issue persists.
