Mitsubishi ASX XB 2014–2016 Head Unit Stuck in Reverse

If your VHEDIA head unit for the Mitsubishi ASX XB (2014–2016) boots up but remains stuck in reverse mode, follow this guide to resolve the issue.

1. Locate the Plug with Yellow and Brown Wires
  • Identify the 20-pin main harness connected to the VHEDIA head unit.
  • Find the plug with yellow and brown wires attached to the harness alongside the CANBUS module. (Refer to the attached image for visual guidance.)
2. Disconnect the Plug
  • Carefully disconnect the plug with the yellow and brown wires.

3. Test the Head Unit

  • After disconnecting the yellow and brown wire plug, power on the head unit and test its functionality:
           a. Shift the vehicle into reverse and then back to another gear.

If the problem remains unresolved, the issue may be hardware-related, or a firmware update may be required. Contact VHEDIA support for further assistance or to arrange a replacement unit if necessary.
