This guide provides a step-by-step process to connect an aftermarket reverse camera to a VHEDIA T-Series head unit. Most aftermarket reverse cameras come with a DC power plug (red) and an RCA video plug (yellow). Follow the instructions below for a seamless setup.

Connecting the DC Power Plug for Camera Power:
- Locate the DC (red) power plug from the reverse camera wiring.
- Red Wire: Connect this wire to the reverse light 12V positive power source. This connection ensures that the camera receives power only when the vehicle is in reverse.
- Black Wire: Connect this wire to a good metal ground point on the vehicle’s chassis. This provides a stable grounding for the camera's power.
Connecting the RCA Video Plug:
- Connect the yellow RCA plug of the reverse camera to the AUX cable from the T-Series head unit, labelled “Camera”. This connection transmits the video signal to the head unit’s display.
Connecting the Trigger Wire:
- Locate the trigger wire from the reverse camera (often brown in colour).
- Connect this trigger wire to the corresponding auxiliary cable on the head unit. This cable triggers the head unit to switch to the camera view automatically when the vehicle is in reverse.
Final Check:
- Once all connections are made, turn on the vehicle and shift into reverse. The T-Series head unit should automatically display the reverse camera feed.
- If the camera feed does not display, recheck the connections, particularly the RCA and trigger wires.
By following these steps, your aftermarket reverse camera should work smoothly with your VHEDIA T-Series head unit, providing a clear view when reversing.
