AutoLink to CarLetter | PhoneLink - Android Auto and CarPlay Troubleshooting

If you're experiencing random connection issues, call dropouts, or other phone-based problems while using CarPlay or Android Auto, you can switch to the alternative app, CarLetter or PhoneLink, to see if it resolves the issue. Here’s how to do it for all M-Series head units:
1. Access Settings:
- Navigate to Settings on your head unit.
- Select Car Infotainment.
2. Enter About Device:
- Tap About Device.
- Tap the gear icon and enter the passcode 8878.
4. Select "Others"
5. Change AutoLink to CarLetter:
- Find AutoLink in the list and change its value to 2 for CarLetter | PhoneLink.
6. Save and Reboot:
Save the changes and reboot the head unit.
IMPORTANT:
After rebooting, open the new CarLetter or PhoneLink app. If it prompts for activation, send the QR code to our Customer Support via chat or email, and we'll help you get it sorted.
