How to set/learn Steering Wheel Controls for Vhedia M Series head units with no CANBUS

SKU: Applicable to all Vhedia M Series which SKU start with MT-XXXX and has no canbus included in the kit.
ISSUE: Vhedia head units allow you to retain factory options and functions including steering wheel controls. If in any case your steering wheel controls doesn't work after installing the head unit, check out this article.
HOW TO FIX:
NOTE: Doing a firmware update on the head unit will erase settings. If you find your steering wheel controls not working after doing the update, you will need to perform this.
If you find your steering wheel controls not working after installation and/or controls not being recognized by the head unit, please check the following
1 - Check for bent pins. This is a common one when the plug is not carefully inserted. If plug has bent pins, just straighten it out carefully so pins will go straight to pin hole.
2 - If your head unit comes with CAN BUS box which looks like the picture below:
