If you’re experiencing no sound with your VHEDIA head unit in a Mazda 3 equipped with a factory BOSE audio system, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Verify Factory Radio Plugs

  • Ensure all factory radio plugs are securely connected to the retention harness included in your VHEDIA head unit package.
  • Double-check for loose or improperly seated connections. The factory radio plugs are typically located under the driver's side glove box.
Watch this video showing how to locate the factory radio plugs:
Step 2: Use the Pre-Out Cables

  • For vehicles with the BOSE audio system, the pre-out cable for amplifiers (included in the package) must be utilised.
  • Connect the pre-out cable to the appropriate ports on your head unit, ensuring compatibility with the BOSE system's amplifier.
Step 3: Configure the Correct CANBUS Profile

  • Identify your CANBUS type. If your CANBUS looks like the one shown in the image below, you’ll need to set the CANBUS type to 256.

Follow the steps on this link on how to set CANBUS profile for M-Series head units:
