Q: Got the head unit wired up but it doesn't power up
A: Please use the canbus VW-SS-07 or RP5-VW-001 in the kit.
Q: How do I install the rocker panel?
A: It will go to one of the left empty switch slots on your gear shift and piggy back from the cigarette plug.
Q: Units shows random bonnet open.
A: Most factory features issues can be fixed by setting the canbus correctly.
If you have an X Series (VH-9613AM-1). Set your canbus to 7:VW(Simple,Raise)
- Go to Settings
- Car Settings
- Factory Settings
- Passcode is 126
- CANBUS
- CANBox Settings
- Select 7:VW(Simple,Raise). Hit OK.
If you have an M Series (MT-9613AM-1). Set your canbus to 240
- Go to Settings
- Navigate to "Car Infotainment" and select "About Device."
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Enter the passcode "8878."
- Select CAN Type and choose 240
- Hit Save and OK to reboot.
Q: My reverse camera shows static display like a TV with no reception
A: We need to set the correct camera settings. See video below:
