When installing the VHEDIA head unit for Toyota Prado 2009-2013 Kakadu, VX & Altitude models, you may notice that the facia does not fit correctly. This is due to two plastic clips that need to be removed before installation.
- The two clips causing the issue are located on the upper and lower sections of the facia bracket. They are circled in the image below.

- Use a small flathead screwdriver or a plastic trim removal tool.
- Gently pry the clips off the facia bracket.
- Ensure there are no remaining obstructions.
- Align the facia with the head unit and confirm it sits flush against the dashboard.
- If it still does not fit properly, check for any remaining plastic tabs or obstructions.
- Once the facia fits correctly, proceed with securing the head unit.
- Ensure all wiring is properly connected before finalising the installation.
By removing these two clips, the facia will fit correctly in your Toyota Prado 2009-2013 Kakadu, VX & Altitude. This ensures a seamless and professional-looking installation. If you encounter any further issues, feel free to reach out to VHEDIA support for assistance.
