When installing the VHEDIA head unit for Toyota Prado 2009-2013 Kakadu, VX & Altitude models, you may notice that the facia does not fit correctly. This is due to two plastic clips that need to be removed before installation.

Steps to Fix the Facia Fitting Issue

1. Identify the Clips to Remove
  • The two clips causing the issue are located on the upper and lower sections of the facia bracket. They are circled in the image below.
2. Remove the Clips
    • Use a small flathead screwdriver or a plastic trim removal tool.
    • Gently pry the clips off the facia bracket.
    • Ensure there are no remaining obstructions.
    3. Test Fit the Facia
    • Align the facia with the head unit and confirm it sits flush against the dashboard.
    • If it still does not fit properly, check for any remaining plastic tabs or obstructions.
    4. Secure the Head Unit
    • Once the facia fits correctly, proceed with securing the head unit.
    • Ensure all wiring is properly connected before finalising the installation.

By removing these two clips, the facia will fit correctly in your Toyota Prado 2009-2013 Kakadu, VX & Altitude. This ensures a seamless and professional-looking installation. If you encounter any further issues, feel free to reach out to VHEDIA support for assistance.
