If you’re installing a VHEDIA T-Series head unit in your Nissan Patrol Y62 (2013–2024) and having issues getting the hazard button to fit correctly into the new fascia, you’re not alone! This is a common fitting issue with a simple solution.
When transferring your factory hazard button to the new VHEDIA fascia, the button may not sit or clip in properly. This is due to the plastic housing around the hazard button slot being too tight or slightly misaligned for the button to fit securely.
What You Need to Do:

To make the hazard button fit, you’ll need to trim out a “V” shape on both sides of the slot where the hazard button mounts.See photo below for reference:
  • The green lines show where to trim on both sides.
  • This small trim allows the button to slide in flush and clip in securely, just like in the factory fascia.
Important Notes

  • This modification only affects the fascia, not your vehicle or the button itself.
  • The trimming is not visible once the head unit is installed, so your dash will still look clean and factory-like.
