This guides provides an overview of the sound settings available on the G-Series head unit.
These settings are accessed through the Settings app inside the Sound tab.
- Boot volume switch: Allows you to set a specific volume level for the unit upon startup.
- Navi & media sound mixed: Controls how navigation audio interacts with media volume. Turning this on allows you to play simultaneously, with the option to adjust the media volume level.
- Sound reduction when reversing: Adjusts the volume's behaviour while in reverse. Increasing this setting can mute the volume when the vehicle is in reverse.
- Touch sound: Controls the audio feedback heard when interacting with the screen; this can also be disabled entirely.
- External power amplifier: Must be turned on if you are using an external amplifier connected via the amplifier control wire.
- AMP-C Delayed power off: An option to add a delay for when the amplifier power turns off after the car is switched off.
- Equalizer: Allows for individual frequency adjustment. You can use user-defined presets or select from built-in profiles such as Rock, Classical, Jazz, Pop, and Cinema.
- Loudness: Enhances bass output when enabled.
- Bass boost: Provides simple bass amplification for front and rear speakers.
- 3D surround: Enables fine-tuning of audio delays based on the distance between the listener and each speaker.
- Sound field: A balance and fader control used to adjust the volume focus toward specific speakers or passengers.
- Filter: Allows users to filter out specific sound frequencies, which can help improve audio quality if using low-quality speakers.
