How to Do a Firmware Update
Applies to all G-Series head units

This guide outlines the process for updating the firmware on a G-Series head unit.
1. Format the USB flash drive to FAT32 format to prevent issues with the update.
2. Download the file on our website using a laptop/computer (Windows/Mac).
3. Copy the “Witstek-T-W19_OS_EN_**.*.*_********-ota.zip” file and paste it to a USB flash drive with 4GB and above storage.
4. Ensure the file transfer is complete, then eject the USB flash drive from the laptop/computer.
5. Turn on the vehicle for the head unit to boot up.
6. Insert the USB flash drive into one of the USB ports. A system software update prompt will appear on the head unit.
7. Click “Yes” to confirm the update. Do not turn off the vehicle during the update process. The head unit will restart after the update completes and you will see the home screen as per usual.
