Common Install Issues
Q: The reverse camera you included in the kit is not working?
A: Ok there will be two things to check here:
- When you put the car into reverse is the screen changing but it is saying no signal? If that is the case then we need to make sure the yellow RCA plugs are plugged together. The below video will cover what we mean.
- The other issue is that nothing happens when you put car into reverse. This means we need to check trigger wire is connected and also that the camera is getting power.
HOW TO:
Connect the green trigger wire from the reverse camera RCA plug to the orange/black wire shown in the picture below:
Q: The camera has some lines through it or looks a bit strange?
A: This seems to be a voltage issue. Please connect the negative of the camera to chassis ground and not direct to reverse light negative.
Q: The Head Unit does not seem to push in all the way and look flush?
A: We may just need to trim a little bit of the dash part off with a sharpe blade. This will not effect the factory unit fitting back in and you cannot see this externally.
Q: My antenna is not going up any more?
A: You must have had the old round antenna style. So what we need to do is give the antenna wire on the car side power from our head unit.
