Note: Disregard the part with microphone as we removed the external microphone in our kits due to it causes interference and lead to poor mic quality
Common Changes To Be Made
Q: Rear speakers not functioning correctly.
A: Please check the canbus code you have in the main harness. It should say RP5-TY-001 or TY-SS-05
Once done, make sure you have the correct canbus setting on the head unit.
For X Series (VH-1704):
- Go to Settings > Car Settings
- Factory Settings and enter 126 for passcode
- Go to CAN > Can Bus setting
- Select 2 TOYOTA/CAMRY/RAV4(Simple) and hit OK.
For M Series (MT-1704):
- Go to Settings > Car Infotainment
- Scroll to bottom and tap About Device
- Tap the gear icon and enter 8878 for password
- Go to CAN TYPE
- Scroll and select 3. TOYOTA
- Hit SAVE and wait for head unit to reboot.
Q: Car is stuck on reverse
A: Unplug the two cables with label "REVERSE IN". See pic below
Q: I have an X Series, I had selected the correct CANBUS setting but still getting no sound.
A: Additional canbus setting and amplier setting is needed.
- Go to Settings > Car Settings
- Factory Settings and enter 126 for passcode
- Go to CANBUS > Advanced
- Manufacturer > Set to Raise
- Category > Set to Toyota
- Model set to Prado 2018 (Doesn't matter what year model you have, just standard setting)
- Tap OK.
Then, go back to your home screen. Next:
- Go to Apps > look for app called "Amplifier"
- Adjust the volume and see if it sound now works
Q: I'm getting NO SIGNAL from when I put my car on reverse. I have factory camera
A: Need to make sure a few things
- Make sure the 6-pin grey plug is connected to the correct port.
- There are two black CAM IN wire. Make sure that the black wire with Yellow RCA that you connect to the purple CAM IN wire is the one that goes with a plug from your car side or goes to canbus.
Q: I'm using my factory antenna but not getting any radio signal/reception
A: Does your factory antenna looks like the one below?
If yes, you need to turn on the EXT AMP setting from the head unit so the antenna will receive power.

FOR KAKADU:
Q: I can't change the 360 view screen after installing your unit.
A: Kindly install your factory unit, change the camera settings to your preference and install our head unit back in.
