Common Install Issues
Q: Why does my reverse camera stay on and why am I getting the check engine light on?
A: You will need to disconnect the REVERSE-IN plug from the main harness. Please check the photo below.
(Note: We disconnected this cable already in our kits but just in case you received one that isn't yet)
Q:(FOR SR5 MODELS: NO SIGNAL UPON REVERSE)
A: First, please ensure that you have plugged in the purple CAM IN RCA cable. Once done, please plug the pointed plug on the pic below into the CANBUS* module. *The CANBUS is a rectangular plastic box with a white sticker.
If you have a M Series head unit so the SKU would have been MT at the start and you will have a map widget on the home screen. You need to choose the right camera setting. See video below.
Q: I have no motion sensors but head unit shows I have it
A: To turn the sensors off, go into the about device settings. - Backcar set up and turn the radar type & revser mode to 0 (zero)
