ISSUE: At times, your Vhedia head unit(s) will be due for a system/firmware update to sort some issue out. This article will help and guide you with the process.
HOW TO UPDATE USING A COMPUTER:
- Get a USB Flash Drive with 2GB and up of storage (you can use the USB that came with your head unit).
- Make sure the flash drive is empty and format your flash drive as FAT32.
- Download the 202404291545 firmware update file from our website here: https://vhedia.com.au/download-x-series-update/
- Drag or Copy the downloaded kupdate.zip file onto a USB drive reformatted as FAT32.
(Note: Please make sure that the file name is "kupdate.zip" only, not "kupdate(1).zip" or etc. Also, do not extract the file. Copy the zip file to the USB flash drive as is)
- Plug USB Drive into the Head Unit USB Port that is coming from the back of the head unit called 3G/USB
- There should be a pop-up prompt saying "Do you want to update?". Tap yes
-Wait for the installation to finish
- Open Zlink App/Speedplay if it says activate you may need to hotspot/connect head unit to internet.
